Welcome.

I have been a photographer for the majority of my walking and talking life. My father made a great effort to photo-document my childhood and growing up- as this was something that had been readily unavailable to his family.

Unintentionally, I was groomed to be a photographer- as Dad’s camera assistant, as a second shooter to Dad’s photo-documentation, to look critically at the composition of an image and move through the world as both participant and observer. Photographs in my family did not only document events but the mood of an event or an interaction. As an introvert and lover of people, photography is my way of celebrating the joys of our complex and beautiful humanity.

This is my approach to photography today- I aim to capture an event, to capture a moment, to capture an interaction, to capture a mood.

After 20 years using photography to document my work in theater, film and n-12 education I have moved from this passion from a hobby to a profession.

I have received my professional training from Maine Media Workshop and the Washington School of Photography Professional Certificate Program. My professional memberships include Professional Photographers of America(PPA), American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP) and The Exposure Group.

My work includes portraits, maternity/newborn, event coverage/editorial,  food/ commercial work and my own projects. This is a boutique business. I’m looking to collaborate with you for the unique event coverage, visual documentation, and/or photographic art you are looking for. I am a working artist who continues to learn and grow through teaching the digital media arts.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me to discuss your photography and visual documentation needs.

I look forward to working with you.
